Chronoblog
trading the dust for dirt and salt...
21 AUGUST 2010
Sporadic progress here at 76 Melbourne Street. We celebrated the tile-flinging domstress’ return from Poland with a small trip to Isle au Haut in a canoe. The escape was a chance to leave the apartment for final touches and sanding the drywall by David Brackett, the fellow and neighbor who’s been instrumental and indispensable at various turns in the project.
We were not on the job this weekend so I offer excuse photos in lieu of progress photos:

The weather was roughly 80 degrees daytime / 55 night time. Seas were 1 -1.5 feet. And mosquitos were baffled by the steadily accumulating layers of grime, as we camped for 3 nights. Conditions were perfect for hiking, swimming, and gathering wild mushrooms. Here’s one I do not recommend.
