twenty-seven cubic feet of piney pine-ness:
22 MAY 2011
A poor way to describe the nice aromatic effect of unfinished, #2 tongue-and groove that went into the bathroom closet last week. Really not a bad way to do it. The shelves are also pine, with a bit of cheap-o MDF board, sealed with polyurethane (see link here, if you're wondering why) for the floor and ceiling.
I have to say that an 18” x 21” x 10' space is interesting place to work, since it is large enough to put your body into, but affords nary a functional dimension to work with your hands. I found myself on my knees to put something in the bottom, and not really having the mechanics to get up and out. Or aiming for a nail way up in a corner, with the hammer and nail in a hand far below, arm flush to the body with no way to reach the damn spot. Willy must feel a bit like this when swaddled for naps.
